This consensus conference will produce actionable, expert consensus driven recommendations across seven core domains, creating a shared framework for surgical teams, hospitals, training centers, and technology developers worldwide.

Establishing Expert Standards

The Institute for Surgical Excellence (ISE) is hosting Navigating AI-Enhanced Surgical Practice: A Framework for the Future – a landmark two-day multidisciplinary consensus conference to shape the future of surgical practice by establishing evidence-based standards for the safe, effective, and equitable integration of AI across the surgical continuum.

Conference Themes & Domains of Consensus

Each domain below will be the focus of facilitated working groups, roundtables, and consensus panels. All participants will contribute to the development of draft recommendations, which will undergo formal review and ultimately be published in a peer-reviewed journal.
